This work is part of the Transition collection<br>Transition is a collection featuring painstakingly intricate mosaic works using everyday objects. The materials include pins, needles, matches and thorns, all of which individually embody danger. In order to escape this negative depiction, the mosaic pieces are formed in organic, fluid patterns that instead provoke a desire to touch.<br><br>By transforming these harsh objects into an antithesis of their original purpose, Lauren has created an individual journey for every piece. The evolution throughout the creative process is reflected in the titles of these powerful mosaics.
