WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DYNAMIC, ORGANISED AND PASSIONATE STUDIO ASSISTANT TO WORK ALONGSIDE THE ARTIST IN A FAST PACED STUDIO.
Your overall purpose will be to manage all activities related to the production and logistics of prints, art and installations. You will play a key role in maintaining the studio to a high standard and make sure our clients and partners receive the best service. This role will suit someone who is fast on their feet, has a creative flair and a background working in the creative field. The ideal candidate will be multi-talented; most importantly you will have extremely high attention to detail, a positive attitude, and keen to multi-task and problem solve. This role is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to further their experience in the creative arts industry.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Under the supervision of the Lauren Baker (Artist) and the team, you will work in a supported environment to develop the skills and knowledge of a senior Production Coordinator whilst:

Ensure the smooth running of the studio - organising the space physically and virtually using Trello, Artlogic, Asana

Maintain and manage artworks, the printer, materials, facilities and services in the studio

Creation of art; print using the large professional printer, apply diamond dust, stretch canvas, mount into frame, pack art professionally

Give amazing customer service to clients, and partners such as galleries through regular contact and updates

Develop solid relationships with clients and galleries with updates on stock levels, pricing, new releases

Liaise on logistics with suppliers e.g. framers and production companies updating clients and partners on timelines

Curation and hanging art in the studio ready for client and partner visits

Order materials and maintain stock levels

Keep stock up to date via Artlogic and an orderly stock room

Check incoming and outgoing art deliveries, pack/unpack, produce condition report for quality control, update Artlogic software and store artwork safely

Help manage laurenbakerart.com website and ensure everything is accurate and up to date

Support with marketing and social media.
Essential Skills & Qualifications The individual will possess;

Interest in the art world and art galleries sector

Experience of working in a fast paced, deadline driven work environment

Have the ability to resolve technical issues

Excellent time management - comfortable multi-tasking, able to prioritise tasks, able to meet tight deadlines

Self-motivated – able to hit the ground running, follows instructions well and takes responsibility in producing quality work

Team player – happy working with others to achieve group goals

Articulate – Good grasp of spelling and grammar, ability to write and speak clearly and concisely
-
Hands-on framing experience is desirable but not necessary.

Prior production experience is desirable

- Salary: £9,5 per hour with potential to earn bonus
- Hours: 25 Hours a week
