A rhombus shape artwork in vibrant colours with a hypnotic awareness.
This piece is a result of my fascination with geometric shapes and symbols and their ability to convey complex ideas and emotions. The rhombus, in particular, offers endless possibilities.
In its abstract simplicity, I am trying to convey the seconds just before the ‘nothingness’ state in meditation. The seconds where you travel into ‘the zone’. The journey that takes you to ‘the white light’ and the purity of just being.
Exploring geometry and aesthetics, I consider the intersection of form and meaning. Drawing upon a rich legacy of geometric abstraction, from the work of Kazimir Malevich to that of Ellsworth Kelly. Yet it also stands on its own as a statement for the quest of ‘nothingness’.
