To understand the world around us, we need to understand the cosmos within us. There are 10 billion galaxies in the observable universe and 250 billion stars in the Milky Way. Here we are, just a tiny speck of dust rotating each year around the sun, as the sun, itself, orbits the Milky Way. We are T-I-N-Y. Yet, our tiny little worlds are so significant in our minds. Meditation is the most powerful tool. It is the gateway from our world to the worlds beyond. As well as being inspired by ancient Greek Astronomy and Cosmology, Portal to the stars is inspired by Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, the idea that time and space are not absolute, and due to this there are many truths, many possibilities and many realities. This artwork is presented as a door to the stars, to the subconscious, to undiscovered worlds, to our fullest potential, representing inner and outer worlds and limitless possibility.
