Bones Of The Earth, 2024

Inspired by megalithic sites such as Stonehenge and the stacked stone forms of Inukshuks, this work draws on ancient, totemic structures that echo human presence. The forms suggest anthropomorphic figures, third-eye symbolism and elemental motifs such as the crescent moon, evoking a visual language rooted in ritual and early mark-making. Referencing the idea that stones hold a natural resonant frequency (approximately 10–16 Hz), the work reimagines rock as alive, vibrating and imbued with memory. Often described as the bones of the earth, these forms become symbolic vessels — holding traces of time, ancestors and the enduring energy of the natural world.
